ROCHESTER, NY — The new DPMS-PM from AMETEK Power Instruments has been nicknamed the “All-Inclusive” Power Meter because the single unit can be used for many applications.  The versatile, multi-function digital power meter connects to any circuit type (2,2 ½, or 3 element circuit), and its universal power supply supports a wide range of AC and DC voltages.

The DPMS-PM performs the functions of several instruments simultaneously: digital power meter, power transducer and IED (Intelligent Electronic Device). It features a bright three-line display with large 0.56” high LED’s for easy viewing of all 34 power measurements.

The unit can be supplied with three independent analog outputs that can be assigned and scaled to any instantaneous measurement.  In addition, the unit can provide six digital outputs for KYZ energy measurements or alarms with selectable thresholds.  All of the unit’s features are self contained within meter and easily configured through software, saving on installation and unit costs.  Each unit comes with RS-232/485 serial communications using Modbus or DNP protocols.  

The DPMS-PM is ideally suited for applications that require a streamlined method of specifying and supplying a single unit for all needs. It  fits the standard 4-inch ANSI switchboard cutout making it a quick fit for replacement or new installations. By performing several functions, the DPMS-PM is an economical choice as well.
