Remove meter cover, hold down simultaneously the DISPLAY, SET, and TEST switches on the front of the meter, then apply Aux power to the meter while keeping the buttons depressed for 2 seconds after Aux power has been applied, then releasing. Communications parameters will be set to factory defaults, and a default factory configuration will be loaded into meter.

Q. How do you program the JEM 10 meter?

A. The easiest way to program the JEM 10 meter is using the JEMSET2 meter programming software, only available through AMETEK. JEMSET2 is a DOS based program, and works on most PC's with Win95, Win98 or, Win2000 operating systems. The JEM 10 meter comes standard with an optical communications port on the front of each meter to facilitate meter programming, and local data retrieval. The meter may also have been ordered with one of several optional communications ports. The user developes a meter configuration in the program, specifying items such as what registers are displayed, the format of the display, demand parameters, load profile interval, communications settings, etc. Once the meter configuration is saved in the program, it can be sent to the meter locally via the meters optical port (an optical port adapter cable is required), or remotely via the meters optional communications port. JEMSET2 can also be used to "Read" the programming out of the meter and into the JEMSET2 program to view how the meter is currently programmed. The meter's password must be known to the user to perform this operation.

Q. Can I add or change options in the JEM 10 meter?

A. Standard communications, pulse output, and analog output options are field installable. It is recommended the user verify calibration of field installed analog output option prior to placing meter in service.
