TR-3000 Meets National Grid United Kingdom's Technical Specifications

AMETEK Power Instruments, a recognized leader in Transient Fault and Disturbance Recorders for electrical utilities, announces that the TR-3000 Digital Fault Recorder receives certification in all four National Grid UK Technical Specifications. The TR-3000 is the first device to be certified in all four specifications. The specifications include:

  • NGTS 3.24.70 - Dynamic System Monitoring: For generator connections coming onto the Grid network. This includes all new build wind farms and HVDC links. 
  • NGTS 3.24.71 - Fault Recording: For individual feeder circuits and other assets such as Static VAR Compensators. 
  • NGTS 3.24.92 - Phasor Measurement Unit: For connection to Phasor Data Concentrators for wide area phasor monitoring of the power system including issues like system inertia, stability and oscillations. 
  • NGTS 3.24.93 - Power Quality Measurement: For real-time monitoring of Class A IEC 61000-4-30 measurements, voltage, current, frequency, harmonics, flicker, imbalance, and for Sag, Swell and Interruption event detection.
