NEW UPLC3. The
UPLC3 is our third generation of Power Line Carrier and is redesigned with the latest technology allowing for future-proof expandability. We are accepting orders for the UPLC3 now and it will begin shipping in January 2025.
We designed the UPLC3 with our customer needs and feedback in mind, and we’ve completely reimagined the transceiver board with a robust pluggable processor, which significantly increases the capacity for future feature expansions. We didn’t stop there though, we improved the user experience and have completely redesigned the web browser interface and front panel, allowing effortless access to more TX and RX level information. With the addition of HTTPS, your data is more secure, and we have also added a hardware jumper for password resets should that be required.

Compatibility
Already a user of our Universal Power Line Carrier and other legacy products? Don’t worry, the UPLC3 maintains seamless end-to-end compatibility with all previous generation power line carrier sets. This ensures you can operate a UPLC-II, UPLC or TC/TCF-10B at the opposite end of the line, including for checkback testing. For easy upgrades and retrofitting, the UPLC3 is designed to fit the same chassis as the UPLC-II utilizing the same backplane and terminal block connections. The physical design changes from the UPLC-II to the UPLC3 include a new front door, transceiver board and front display board while all other boards remain the same for both.
Sales and Support for UPLC-II
Please note that although the UPLC-II will be available into 2025, it will have a limited supply and be provided on a first come, first serve basis. AMETEK Power Instruments remains committed to our standard of industry leading customer service and technical support for both the UPLC and UPLC-II. We will continue to repair all these products as long as the necessary parts are available. If a repair is not economically feasible, we will help support your migration efforts to the UPLC3 to ensure a seamless transition.
