SERNET displays alarms in a web browser for easy analysis and provides real-time data outputs via serial and Ethernet ports. This makes it ideal for monitoring alarms in substation switchgear, transformers, turbines, boilers, pumps, motors, UPS, HVAC systems, building security and more.
Each SERNET unit can function as a standalone system, monitoring up to 48 digital inputs. Alternatively, multiple SERNET units can be networked together to form a larger system, consolidating all events into a single chronological list. This means you can view alarms from several SERNET units on one web browser screen, making it easy to see interactions between different equipment types or processes. This flexibility allows for comprehensive analysis across an entire site or even multiple sites, providing a clearer picture than piecing together alarms from multiple devices.
The SERNET web browser includes sorting and filtering functions to aid in root cause analysis. It also handles all configuration details and allows for downloading events in CSV format. Alarms can be transmitted in real-time using Modbus, DNP and IEC61850 protocols. SERNET can also receive alarms from IEC61850-compatible devices, with the option to timestamp events via GOOSE messages or at the SERNET unit. Critical alarms can be sent via email notifications and SNMP is available for network management.
Each SERNET unit can store up to 40,000 events in memory for long-term data storage. For added reliability, units can be supplied with single or dual redundant hot-swappable power supplies.
